1st Day of School

Aug 19th was the first day of 2nd grade for Gavin and the 1st day of kindergarten for Christian. Gavin was exited because now that he is in 2nd grade his classroom is upstairs, it makes him feel so grown up. Gavin's teacher is Mrs. Kinsella and Christian's teacher is Mrs. Hannes, they both seem very nice. I asked Christian if I could go to kindergarten and him stay home and do the house work, he did not like that idea. We are so excited for the school year it is going to be a fun year.

Rhys' 1st Birthday

This post is late since his birthday was July 24th. We have a tradition that on their first birthday we strip them down to the diaper and let them go at their birthday cake. It is fun to watch Rhys dig in to his cake and make a huge mess he didn't eat much of it he just loved playing in it. His party was kind of short but what do you expect when you start the party past his bed time. Here are some pictures.

Lagoon

The boys were lucky and were able to go to lagoon twice this summer. The first was with the Grammy, Grampy and Nanna and of course me. So they rode a lot of just the little rides. Gavin did go on a few of the bigger rides but not many. Christian was just to little to go on the bigger rides but there was this one ride that was a little bigger called the bat and the boys loved that one it was one that your feet were hanging. I thought that we probably would be heading home by at latest 7 but they were having so much fun and being so good that we didn't leave until 9:45 which shocked me.

The second time Ross was back so he was able to come. Kristin, Zach, Misty, Leslie and Andrew also came. With Ross there Gavin was strongly coursed to ride the big rides. He even went on one that went upside down. He also went on the Wicked. Gavin did not want to ride them but after he got off of them he had a huge smile. Rhys was so good and content sitting in his stroller and watching. We had so much fun!

Bear Lake

We went to bear lake from July 23rd to July 27th, with my parents and some other relatives. Gavin and Christian loved playing in the lake, it was shallow enough for some distance so they were able to go out and play by their self's with me just watching from the beach they loved it. Rhys also loved going down to the beach he loved playing in the sand. Rhys also liked to try to sneak the little shells that were all over the beach in his mouth I'm not sure why he would want to eat them. That boy always had sand in his mouth YUCK. Rhys saw a shell sitting right on top of the sand so instead of picking it up with his hand to put it in his mouth he leaned over and tried picking it up with his mouth which he got the shell but also a mouth full of sand. My uncle brought a boat and Gavin LOVED going out and riding on it he even got to drive it. Gavin had a water fight it was him against two teenagers he got them pretty good considering the odds. The boys had a blast on that trip.

Time

Where did the time go? The summer is almost over these last couple of weeks have gone by to fast and Ross starts back to school on Monday I can't believe it and the boys start on Aug 19th. Time did feel like it went a little slower while Ross was in Officer training but since he got back it has gone so fast. Now that we are back home I'll try to update our post this week.
