Movie night

Each night when I put the boys to bed Ross or I read them a chapter of a chapter book and after we finish the book if the book was made into a movie we will usually check it out.
We just finished Charlie and the Chocolate Factory so we went to the library and checked out Willy Wonka and the Chocolate Factory. It is always  fun to watch the boys compare the movie to the book and through  the whole movie they  say what is going to happen next or say "that isn't in the movie". They really enjoy doing this.

Pumpkin's

After school yesterday the boys and I went to a local farm stand and got a pumpkin to carve and Christian had a little one from a field trip that he went on. There were so many good ones it was hard to pick one but we found one that was just perfect.  The boys helped me take the insides out except Christian didn't want to get any on him so he ended up not helping with that step, they also helped carve the faces.  It was a lot of fun!

Eye therapy

Christian's left eye drifts out and doesn't like to look in the same direction as the other one at times, so I have to do eye exercises with him every day to try and strengthen it. We do it while Rhys is a sleep otherwise it is hard to get it done cause Rhys likes to take the things we have to work with, he  grabs them and takes off running and he thinks it is funny.

Playing in the leafs

At one of Christian's games Rhys went and played in the leafs. He never watched the game Ross or I  always had to chase him around. At least at this game he played in the leafs instead of eating the wood chips, well he probably did that also.

Soccer Teams

The boy's just finished their soccer season. They had a lot of fun playing and want to do it next season. Here are the teams they were on.

Wood chips

Rhys loves to find and put wood chips in his mouth and chew on them. You would think that after the first couple of times he would figure out they don't taste all that good, but no every time we go to a park or anywhere they have wood chips I'm always digging them out of his mouth. He just loves to play with dirt and wood chips.

School Park

Here are some cute pictures from playing at the school park. Which Rhys loves putting the wood chips in his mouth. Yum!

Shedd Aquarium

A couple weeks ago the boys had a half day off of school so when they got out of school the boys and I were off to the the shedd aquarium. Gavin was disappointed though because his favorite part of the aquarium was closed for updating.( Which is mine also)  Which was the oceanarium where they have the dolphin show. But we still were able to see the sharks, fish, frogs and turtles. We had fun.

Rhys' Basket

So Rhys has a new toy. It's a empty laundry basket. Why do we  even need to buy him toys? He loves to put things in the basket and push it around. He sometimes only has one thing in it.  He'll take things out and push it around and then come back and get the stuff he took out.
So when the boys are in school this is what Rhys and I do to entertain us. So now we can ask him where his basket is and he will go and get it. The  other morning Ross was looking for his shoes and I asked have you checked Rhys' basket, so he did and that is where they were. So now if we are missing anything we check his basket. It is so cute when he pushes it around. It is also fun to see what he collects in his basket.
