St Patrick's Day Parade

On Saturday March 15th Naperville did a St Patrick's Day Parade. The route went directly in front of our house. All week long the boys would say, "I can't wait till Saturday." It was nice that it went in front of our house because we were able to wait inside till it was passing our house which was great cause Rhys was able to stay inside and take a nap and cause that morning was freezing. So after the parade was over we came in and I made Hot chocolate for everyone so we could get warmed up again. It was hard to believe that it was that cold because the day before we had 56 degree weather which was sooooo nice.
I can't believe how much candy the boys got from the parade and most of it is the cheap kind like Smarties and Tootsie rolls. So when the parade was over I had them come in and pick a few of their favorite ones that they could keep and then we tossed the rest. Which I thought they were going to fight me about but they were all right with it, which surprised me. It was fun to have our friends Amy and Bristol over to watch with us.

Valentine Cupcakes

So we decided to do cupcakes instead of cookies it was a lot of fun. The boys and I went over to our friends (morins) house to do them. I provided the cupcakes and some toppings and Salem did the frosting and toppings. Salem had a bunch of different toppings to put on the cupcakes from mini marshmallows to cute sprinkles, she made it hard to pick what to put on your cupcake, they turned out so cute. It makes me wonder how many of the toppings actually made it on to the cupcakes I think more of them got eaten before they had the chance of being put on. All that were there are Gavin, Christian, Rhys, Ryder, Bristol, Salem, Amy, and I. The boys love getting together with friends for the holidays and doing cupcakes or cookies. I hate to use a blurry picture of Christian but if he sees I didn't put picture of him on he would be sad. Rhys is just happy to sit in his car seat and watch all that is going on.
