St Patrick's Day Parade

On Saturday March 15th Naperville did a St Patrick's Day Parade. The route went directly in front of our house. All week long the boys would say, "I can't wait till Saturday." It was nice that it went in front of our house because we were able to wait inside till it was passing our house which was great cause Rhys was able to stay inside and take a nap and cause that morning was freezing. So after the parade was over we came in and I made Hot chocolate for everyone so we could get warmed up again. It was hard to believe that it was that cold because the day before we had 56 degree weather which was sooooo nice.
I can't believe how much candy the boys got from the parade and most of it is the cheap kind like Smarties and Tootsie rolls. So when the parade was over I had them come in and pick a few of their favorite ones that they could keep and then we tossed the rest. Which I thought they were going to fight me about but they were all right with it, which surprised me. It was fun to have our friends Amy and Bristol over to watch with us.

That's awesome that the parade went right in front of your house (and by the way, your house looks so cute and cozy!). We've been having crazy weather here too...55 degrees one day and then snowing the next...Can't wait for the 60-70 degree weather. Can't wait to see you guys! Take care and have a great Easter/St Patrick's Day...

That sounds so fun!!! I'm bummed we missed it...but we were quite enjoying 60 degrees and playing in the sandbox. :) Maybe next year!
