Nanna's Visit

Nana came at the end of May and stayed for a week. The boys really liked having Nana come stay and play with us. We went to the Science and Industry Museum, the Zoo, did the paddle boats on our local pond and did a lot of walking around our town. We also got pizza, ice cream and other treats. The older boys went to a movie with her and loved that she got a lot of snacks. It was a great week.

Cub Scout Day Camp

This was Gavin's first year going to Cub Scout day camp and he LOVED it.This years theme was Cub Scouts at the Museum. Some of the activities were archery, BB guns, making rain sticks, learning about Teddy Roosevelt, Africa, Indian and Cowboys, and tying knots. His favorite thing was the BB guns. I volunteered one day to help out and it was the muddiest day of the whole week but I enjoyed going and seeing Gavin do all his activities and I also really liked spending the day with just him which doesn't happen that often. Later in the summer Gavin found Ross' old BB gun and had Great Grampy help him get it working again. He loves that BB gun, it is too bad we really don't have a close place to shoot it. Gavin loved going to day camp and can't wait to do it again.

Rhys turned 3

I don't believe he is already 3. He had brownies and ice cream instead of cake. He loves the movie Toy Story so he got a lot of Toy Story toys. It was just our little family celebrating his birthday but I don't think he minded that it wasn't a big party. Some things he loves are apples, Toy Story all three movies, being outside, riding bikes, swords, and "his boys"(Gavin and Christian). He is the sweetest and does the most adorable things. I love him so much!!

BASEBALL

Way to go Christian you hit the ball!!!!

The boys had a great baseball season this summer. Gavin played on a team that out of 11 players about 9 of them were from his school. Gavin has really enjoyed playing sports with this bunch of boys! Christian did not want to play this year but I knew once he started practices he would love it and that is just what happened. I loved going to their games and seeing how much their skills grew since last year. Great season boys!!

All of these water balloons were gone in a few minutes but it took me hours to fill

Since we will be moved by Gavin's next birthday I decided to have a friend and family party. This was his 1st friend party here, he has made some great friends here and enjoyed playing water balloon games (which I had blisters on my fingers from filling them all), eating cupcakes & ice cream and opening presents with them! I don't believe that he is already 9. We also had a family party on his actual birthday which some of our family friends came and had some great food with us. He had a great birthday!

The other day it got way to quiet in our house and when I went to see what Rhys was doing this is what I saw.

Christian lost his first tooth.

Christian's tooth came loose by biting into an apple and it also fell out by biting into an apple. He was super excited to loose his first tooth.
